Welcome to Connection PGH. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Connection PGH website, services, memberships, event listings, registrations, and related offerings.
By accessing or using Connection PGH, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website and services.
1. About Connection PGH
Connection PGH is a community wellness hub designed to connect individuals with local wellness practitioners, businesses, organizations, events, volunteer opportunities, and community resources throughout Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.
Connection PGH may provide business and practitioner listings, event information, promotional opportunities, memberships, community programming, ticketing or registration services, and other resources.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, businesses, practitioners, organizations, and service providers featured through Connection PGH operate independently and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Connection PGH.
2. Wellness & Medical Disclaimer
Information provided through Connection PGH is intended for general informational, educational, and community-resource purposes only. Connection PGH does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, or other licensed healthcare services through the website. The inclusion of a wellness practitioner, business, service, event, or organization on Connection PGH does not constitute medical advice or a guarantee regarding the quality, safety, effectiveness, qualifications, or suitability of their services. Users are responsible for determining whether a practitioner, service, activity, or event is appropriate for their individual needs and should consult an appropriate licensed healthcare professional when necessary.
3. Practitioner & Business Listings
Connection PGH provides opportunities for wellness practitioners, businesses, nonprofits, organizations, and other eligible community partners to be featured through the platform.
Businesses and practitioners are responsible for ensuring that information they submit is truthful, accurate, current, and not misleading.
Where applicable, practitioners and businesses are responsible for maintaining any licenses, certifications, insurance, permits, or professional qualifications required to provide their services.
Connection PGH reserves the right to approve, decline, edit, suspend, or remove a listing when reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, safety, or mission of the platform.
Being listed on Connection PGH does not constitute an endorsement, certification, employment relationship, partnership, or guarantee by Connection PGH.
4. Memberships & Fees
Certain Connection PGH services may require a paid membership, listing fee, event fee, promotional fee, or other payment.
Pricing and included benefits will be disclosed before purchase. Connection PGH may modify its pricing, membership structure, or included benefits from time to time. Changes will not retroactively alter completed purchases unless otherwise communicated.
Members are responsible for providing accurate payment and business information.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, fees associated with memberships, listings, promotions, or administrative/service charges are non-refundable.
5. Events & Event Registration
Connection PGH may organize its own events and may also promote, list, collaborate on, or facilitate registration for events organized by third parties.
Event details, including dates, times, locations, pricing, availability, and programming, may occasionally change.
For third-party events, the event organizer is responsible for the operation, safety, accessibility, content, cancellation policies, and delivery of the event unless otherwise stated.
Registration for an event may also be subject to additional terms provided by the event organizer or registration platform.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
Unless otherwise stated for a specific event, eligible cancellation requests must be received at least five (5) days before the scheduled event to qualify for a refund.
Service, processing, platform, and administrative fees are non-refundable.
Cancellations made fewer than five days before an event may not be eligible for a refund.
If Connection PGH cancels an event it directly organizes, registered participants will receive information regarding available refunds, credits, rescheduling, or other applicable options.
Events organized by third parties may be subject to the third party's own refund and cancellation policies.
7. Event Participation & Assumption of Risk
Participation in community events, wellness activities, fitness activities, walks, workshops, classes, and other experiences may involve inherent risks. By choosing to participate, attendees acknowledge that they are voluntarily participating and are responsible for determining whether an activity is appropriate for them.
To the extent permitted by law, Connection PGH is not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, or other incidents resulting from participation in activities operated by independent third parties.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or exclude liability that cannot legally be waived or excluded.
8. Third-Party Businesses & Services
Connection PGH may provide links, listings, recommendations, or information regarding third-party websites, businesses, practitioners, organizations, and services.
Connection PGH does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their websites, policies, availability, services, representations, actions, or transactions.
Users should independently review the policies, credentials, and terms of any third party before purchasing or participating in their services.
9. User-Submitted Content
Users, members, businesses, and organizations may submit information, photographs, logos, event details, descriptions, or other materials for publication or promotion.
By submitting content, you represent that you have the right and permission to provide and use that content.
You grant Connection PGH permission to display, reproduce, format, and promote submitted content as reasonably necessary to provide your listing, promote an event, market the platform, or provide the applicable Connection PGH service.
You retain ownership of your original content.
10. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Connection PGH name, branding, website design, original written content, graphics, and other materials created by Connection PGH are owned by or licensed to Connection PGH.
These materials may not be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.
11. Acceptable Use
Users may not use Connection PGH to engage in unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate activity.
Users may not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website, impersonate another individual or business, submit knowingly false information, or use Connection PGH content for unauthorized commercial purposes.
Connection PGH reserves the right to restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary.
12. Limitation of Liability
Connection PGH strives to provide accurate and useful information but cannot guarantee that all information provided by third parties will always be complete, current, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Connection PGH will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from the use of the website or interactions with independent businesses, practitioners, organizations, or third-party events featured through the platform.
